Bue Arc Sculpture

$1,800.00

Two luminous blue and green arcs curl gently towards each other like rolling waves of the Sargasso Sea in this free-standing glass sculpture. Light passes through like rays shining down into the Atlantic waters, illuminating rich brown panels evoking the strands of seaweed that lend their name to the "golden rainforest of the ocean." To create this sculpture, various pieces of glass are fused together into a canvas, fired in a kiln, and cooled. The canvas is cut into strips, which are arranged together, fired again, then cut and slumped on a custom form to create its curving shape. The sculpture's components can be arranged in various ways to fit the display space. Each piece is unique; colors, patterns, and size will vary.
